Training Requirements in Idaho
(Unarmed)
Applicants for
unarmed security guard position in the state of Idaho are
not necessarily required to obtain a license for
employment. This is according to the Idaho Bureau of
Occupational Licensing office. However, applicants will
still have to consider certain requirements, set by most
employers to properly evaluate and see whether the
applicant is qualified for the position. This also
depends upon the city and county levels in which the
applicant wishes to render his or her
services.

- Applicants for
unarmed security guard position must be at least 18 years
old.
- He or she
should possess a high school diploma or a GED equivalent
diploma.
- Every applicant
should be able to acquire a valid driver’s license issued
by the State.
- There should be
no found records of misdemeanors, felony convictions and
acts of crime including unlawful use of
firearms.
- The applicant
should be in good physical
condition.
- He or she
should possess excellent communication
skills.
- The applicant
should be willing and able to stand for long periods of
time.

office. Although the State of Idaho doesn’t find the
necessity for license acquisition, applicants for
security guard position will still have to adhere to the
laws governed by the State. This generally includes

employment. Usually, training lasts for days, depending
on how many training hours are required by the
employer.
