Training Requirements in Michigan
(Unarmed)
Michigan is
one of the eight most populated states in the United
State. Home to vast lakes and areas of water, Michigan
has been one of the best places to live in. If you are a
resident of this state and is interested to work for
security, the State of Michigan requires applicants a few
qualification
needed.
In Michigan,
unarmed security officers are not required to have a
license. However, the company that you are under or will
hire you must be certified and licensed that is approved
by the State.
Here are the
requirements needed for unarmed security
guard:
- Must be a
United States citizen or a registered resident
alien
- Must be at
least 18 years old
- Must have
a high school diploma or any equivalent such as
GED
- Must be
submitted to a background check and must pass
it.
- Must pass
a drug test and screening. Take note that this is not
required by the state of Michigan but by the hiring
agency.
- Must be in
good physical condition.
There are also
other requirements that might be helpful such as having
good communication skills, has a valid driver’s license
in the State of Michigan and can withstand long periods
of standing. Training courses might also be added and a
number of hours must be completed. If there are companies

better.
